  Mission Statement:

Getting to Know CLC

 "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved..."  Acts 16: 31

We believe that God the Father is our Creator, Jesus Christ is our Savior, and the Holy Spirit is God’s presence within us bringing us to newness of life.

We accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God--the record of God’s redemptive act in Christ and the authoritative source of our proclamation, faith, and life.

We teach  that all people are sinners and that a person is saved only by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

We see the Church as the community of those who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  The Church is essential to Christian life and growth.

We celebrate two Sacraments as God’s means for penetrating our lives with his presence and grace.  They are Baptism and Holy Communion. 

We live, not according to a formula of do’s and don’ts, but in the freedom of Christian love and responsibility.
